In the first phase, voting was held on all the seats of Tamil Nadu (39), Uttarakhand (5), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Meghalaya (2), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1). Puducherry (1), Sikkim (1) and Lakshadweep (1), 12 in Rajasthan, eight in Uttar Pradesh, six in Madhya Pradesh, five each in Assam and Maharashtra, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two in Manipur and Voting took place on one seat each in Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir and Chhattisgarh.

About 47.49 percent of the 75 lakh voters in the four Lok Sabha constituencies of Bihar exercised their franchise. On the other hand, despite continuous rain, 65.08 percent voting took place in the first 6 hours of voting in Udhampur seat of Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, 50.95 percent voting took place in Rajasthan while 53.64 percent voting took place in Uttarakhand. 55.29 percent voting took place in Maharashtra, while 63.33 percent voting took place in six Lok Sabha seats of Madhya Pradesh.
