KL rahul vs MS Dhoni LSG vs CSK, IPL 2024 stats: Match number 34 of the Indian Premier League (2024) took place on 19 April at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. In this match, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) captained by KL Rahul defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 8 wickets with 6 balls remaining.

Along with this, Lucknow also proved its tag line ‘Adab Se Harayenge’ with this victory, Chennai bowlers were seen yearning to take wickets in the entire match. In this match, KL Rahul played a captaincy inning of 82 runs on 53 balls, while also taking 2 wickets behind the wicket. In one record, Rahul even left behind Thala i.e. Mahendra Singh Dhoni.

Captain KL Rahul also made many personal and other records in his name during this period. This was Lucknow’s fourth win in seven matches in this IPL season, while this was Chennai Super Kings’ third defeat in seven matches.

In this match, Chennai, playing first, scored 176 runs for six wickets. Ravindra Jadeja played the highest innings of 57 runs for Chennai. Ajinkya Rahane scored 36 runs and Moeen Ali scored 30 runs. Mahendra Singh Dhoni also scored an unbeaten 28 runs on 9 balls. Dhoni hit three fours and two sixes in his innings. Krunal Pandya was the most successful bowler for Lucknow and he took three wickets. Whereas Mohsin Khan, Marcus Stoinis, Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Thakur got one wicket each.

After this, during the run chase, Lucknow did not give Chennai bowlers a chance to recover. Chennai bowlers were seen gasping to take wickets. There was a partnership of 134 runs in 15 overs between Rahul and Quinton de Kock. This partnership completely turned the match in Lucknow’s favor. Rahul scored 82 runs before getting out, which included 9 fours and three sixes. De Kock played an innings of 54 runs in 43 balls before getting out. De Kock’s innings included 5 fours and one six. Whereas Nicholas Pooran returned not out after scoring 23 runs and Marcus Stoinis returned not out after scoring eight runs.
